MurdeRED is a digital painting made using Adobe Photoshop and is a statement on the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in Canada. My painting references the movement's protest by including symbols such as the red dress and red handprint. Although I do not identify as a member of the Indigenous community, as an ally, I wanted to help raise awareness. I am extremely disappointed in the media for not providing the same coverage it did a few years ago on this issue and I hope that my work sheds light upon this tragedy.
