Never lose sight of the child within you

This drawing was inspired by the novel, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This book played a significant role in my childhood and is the story of a young boy searching for his purpose in life. By travelling to different planets and learning about the realities of life, one can discover the magic of the universe. The overarching message of this story is to never lose sight of the child within you and this has stuck with me my whole life. This pencil drawing uses different methods of sketching to help create the mystical, lonely world of the Little Prince, and reflect the journey everyone must navigate.
