In recognition of frontline workers

Over the summer, I created this mixed-media mural at my high school with the help of a few friends. This mural provides recognition and thanks to frontline workers. They are the ones who have selflessly devoted themselves to combating COVID-19 since the very start of the pandemic. They are our real life heroes. This visualization shows that you don’t need superhuman powers to change people’s lives. After seeing this painting, I hope people will begin to appreciate the many sacrifices health officials have had to make during these unprecedented times. From the wheat pasting in the background to the acrylic paint used to bring these characters to life, our goal for this mural was to have a positive impact on our community.
