Silence is violence. Stand for justice.

I created this collage from magazines that I have been collecting throughout the year. I was inspired by the refuel of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement to participate in the fight for equality. BLM has shed light on racial disparity around the world and has helped shift people’s perspectives on race. Already, we can see that more people of colour are being represented in the media and finally being given the exposure that they deserve. The writing at the top of my collage is inspired by the slogan used at the BLM protests in downtown Toronto this summer. Although the fight for equality is far from over, as an ally, I believe change will come when we all stand together in solidarity.
